We are thrilled to announce the release of the AuditApp Ad Hoc Actions feature. This is a long requested and highly anticipated feature that addresses the need for more flexible, store-specific communication and action tracking.
What’s New?
You can now create Ad Hoc Actions for one or multiple locations using the Web and Mobile App. Once created, these actions appear on the Actions Dashboard menu. This feature empowers you to address issues quickly and consistently across one or many locations with no audit or task required.
Each ad hoc action includes similar elements to a regular action, making the transition seamless for you. Because the structure and interface are familiar, you can quickly understand and adapt to the new ad hoc workflow with minimal guidance.

Ad Hoc Action Type
Ad Hoc actions are categorized using predefined industry types such as Tasks, Initiatives, Training, and Informational. A new status, Acknowledged, has been introduced specifically for Informational actions and appears alongside the existing statuses: Open, Closed, and Overdue.
Read Receipt
When creating an ad hoc action, you can optionally mark it as a read receipt, which tracks whether or not the action has been opened. When enabled, you will receive a summary email the following day showing which ad hoc actions actions were read and which remain unread by the locations.
Email Notifications
Similar to regular actions, ad hoc actions also support reminders, new action created, action updated/closed and the weekly digest email notifications. You can configure email notification preferences directly in the web app by selecting the roles and locations you wish to receive notifications.
Additional Enchancements in this Release
Alongside the launch of Ad Hoc Actions, we are also rolling out several exciting mobile enhancements as part of the same release:
- AuditApp now features a new, modern, smoother, and faster navigation system! No worries, all screens still look the same, we’ve just added a sleek new drawer menu to the Locations screen.
- The image sketch screen has been completely rebuilt using a modern native vector drawing package, boosting performance and enabling sketch previews right from the thumbnails!
- The signature screen got a user interface retouch and now includes a clear signature button, just in case your finger decides to freestyle.
